Irving ISD Warehouse Welcome
to the Warehouse & Transportation department. On this page you will
find a variety of information pertaining to our warehousing
operation; please refer to the next tab for information regarding
bus transportation through our vendor, Dallas County Schools.
We’re fortunate to have a warehouse from which to
provide varied services and products to our many campus sites. This
40,500 square foot facility is located within our Facilities
Services building at 3620 Valley View Lane, and houses items ranging
from pencils to paper goods, and from breakfast foods to parts and
supplies. Nearly all that is needed to educate 33,000 students and
equip 4,000 employees can be found in our warehouse.
Take your time visiting our site. You’ll find
links, below, which further describe how our department operates and
how we might provide service for your specific need. Should you have
questions or comments, please feel free to contact our Warehouse and
Transportation manager, John Walker, at 972-261-5132 or
jwalker@irvingisd.net.

District Guidelines for Receiving Delivery of
Merchandise
The
following guidelines are provided to campus personnel
relative to accepting merchandise at the campus from a
supply truck, direct shipment from the vendor, or
shipment from the district warehouse. Each campus
should designate at a minimum two persons with the
responsibility of receiving such shipments. There
should always be someone designated to receive at the
campus when it is open. These guidelines will be posted
on the district warehouse webpage, and should be kept in
a central receiving location at the campus.
