Plan, 2009-2010

have sought to keep you informed of security matters
through an annual updated letter. I truly feel that as
parents and students of our District, you have a right
to know the steps we are taking to provide a safe,
secure, and orderly environment within our schools.
Like you, I have watched the frightening images of
violence in schools through the lens of media coverage;
and, like you, I am concerned as a parent when I see
innocence violated by those who would seek to cause harm
to others. Please know that we give ourselves to the
matter of providing safety and security to the students,
staff, and visitors of our District; we constantly
strive to improve, to learn of new methods, to train for
the emergencies we hope never to occur. And now,
instead of looking over the horizon to the potential for
violence, we find concern for the health of our children
in the form of the H1N1 flu. Indeed, the threat to our

J. Pat Lamb
Director of Security
and Operations
J. Pat Lamb began his career in December, 1995 as
the Operations Manager. He was promoted to the position of
Assistant Director of Security and Operations in 2001 and promoted
again in June, 2006 to the position of Director of Security and
Operations. Pat received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Tech
University in 1983, and a Master's degree in Public Administration
from Golden Gate University in 1986.

Don Sturdivant
Security Manager
Don has been employed with the
District since January, 1991. He began his career working as a
Maintenance and Security Dispatcher. In his tenure, he has also
served as an Energy Management Specialist and Energy Manager. He
currently holds the position as the Security Manager where he
oversees the day to day operations of a 53 member security
department.

Marion Amick
Security Supervisor
Marion Amick began
his career with the district four years ago. His passion for safety
and security comes from his dedication to the US Marine Corps where
he spent 13 years of his life. He also spent several years in
private security. |
