January is Board Appreciation Month

In January each year, school districts across Texas recognize the volunteerism and community service exhibited by school board officials. To learn more about the IISD Board of Trustees, access http://irvingisd.net/board.

This year, books were donated to school libraries in the name of each trustee.  Middle, elementary and high schools received a copy of Wonder Struck by Brian Selznick. Early childhood schools received a copy of Pete the Cat: Rocking in My School Shoes, by Eric Litwin.
