TAAS Report Brings Good News
The board received a detailed report
on the District’s performance in the state’s accountability measures
from Dr. Whit Johnstone, director of planning, evaluation and research.
Johnstone announced that IISD earned a Recognized rating from the Texas
Education Agency for the fourth year in a row and all of the district’s
secondary schools were Recognized. Johnstone announced that the district
has one Exemplary school – Townley Elementary – and 19 Recognized
schools. There are no low-performing schools in the district.
