IISD Recognized for
Energy Efficiency
Oncor presented a check to Irving ISD for
$761,798 for affecting positive changes by means of upgrading to more
efficient mechanical and electrical equipment at district facilities.
Part of Oncor’s “Take a Load Off, Texas”
program, the rebate recognizes IISD for reducing energy consumption by
upgrading equipment, implementing motion-sensing light control devices,
completing a district-wide lighting retrofit, monitoring after-hours
consumption, and completing construction of Johnson Middle School – the
first net zero public school building in Texas.
