King Named
Outstanding Graduate
Pamela King was named outstanding
graduate. King is a 1977 graduate of MacArthur and a professional
vocalist. She has appeared in leading roles with such prestigious
companies as the Chautauqua Opera, the Greater Miami Opera, the Brooklyn
Academy of Music, Western Opera Theater, and the Merola Opera Program.
She is also active as a concert soloist having performed such works as
Handel’s Messiah, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, and Mahler’s
Songs of a Wayfarer. Currently, King is the Family and Government
Grants Foundation Manager for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. King lives
in Irving with her daughter, Hillary, who is a third grader at Lee. Her
parents, Hope and Don King, are both retired IISD educators.
