	Approved Resolution & Order #08-09-05 authorizing November amendment to the 2008-2009 operating budget.
	Approved Resolution & Order #08-09-06 accepting supplements to Irving ISD tax rolls.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-41 expanding existing Understanding Math software licenses to unlimited use at all secondary schools and purchase of software from Neufeld’s Learning Systems at a total cost of $78,508.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-42 authorizing purchase of four science laboratory tables and 54 feet of lab casework for Austin Middle School from Indeco Sales, Inc. at a total cost of $35,950.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-43 initiating a contract agreement with Journeyman Ink, LLC and Irving ISD for Will Richey to provide his spoken word program for students in 21st Century Community Learning Centers Cycle Four after-school programs.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-44 initiating an agreement with Mid-Continent Research for Education and Learning to consult with IISD content coordinators for curriculum refinement at a cost of $53,000.
	Approved modified schedule waiver on March 3, April 28-30, and May 1, 2009, for high school seniors exempt from TAKS testing to allow late arrival at school by 12:30 p.m. during Spring TAKS administration.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-56 authorizing five additional innovative course offerings for Career & Technical Education career pathways: Internetworking Technologies – Levels Three & Four; Introduction to Hospitality & Tourism; Veterinary Medical Assistant – Level One; Culinary Arts – Levels One & Two; and Introduction to Biotechnology.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-45 authorizing purchase of PSAT/NMSQT exams and scoring services from The College Board, at a cost not to exceed $40,000.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-46 authorizing purchase of six vehicles through the Texas Procurement & Support Services contract at a total cost of $94,570.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-47 for final payment application and closeout documentation on middle school #8 site remediation provided by Glenn Engineering Corporation and Mart, Inc.
	Accepted Schematic Design for Union Bower Center for Learning 2007 Bond Construction Project reflecting renovations and additions for the redesigned educational philosophy for Union Bower.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-48 revising phased construction plans for 2007-2008 bond construction projects.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-07 amending multi-year construction budget and 2007-2008 capital projects budget to increase funding of all phase one projects by 18%, with the exception of Irving High School, Irving Schools Stadium, Ratteree Career Development Center, and Hanes Elementary School.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-49 accepting the by-laws of Public Power Pool Energy Cooperative as an energy provider for IISD electricity procurement.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-50 allowing IISD membership in Public Power Pool Energy Cooperative for electricity procurement.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-51 accepting first reading and filing authorization of revised Board Policy FO (Local) prohibiting the use of corporal punishment within IISD and deleting policy language relating to security cameras.

	Received a tie vote of 2-2 on Resolution #08-09-52 accepting revisions to Board Policy FM (Local) on first reading and filing authorization to comply with changes within TAC 74.30 relating to identification of honors courses and adding Advanced Placement and pre-calculus classes to the policy.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-53 accepting first reading and filing authorization of revised Board Policy CH (Local) revising the amount for bids, offers, proposals, awards and contracts that must be authorized or approved by the Board of Trustees from $25,000 to $75,000 in order for the district to operate more efficiently.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-54 pertaining to the election and resignation of personnel.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-55 accepting gifts and donations to the district for the month of October 2008 totaling $29,135.
	Discussed Board participation in Angel Tree project.
	Responded to Superintendent regarding trustee attendance at North Texas Area Association of School Boards meeting.
